Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre Microphone Preamp and ADAT Converter
The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre is an eight-channel microphone preamp and A-D converter designed to expand audio recording systems. It connects to any audio interface or digital recording system with ADAT connectivity. This makes it an ideal solution for studios that need more recording channels without replacing their existing setup.
The Scarlett OctoPre provides a simple and cost-effective way to increase system capacity while maintaining excellent audio quality. It is suitable for recording drums, guitars, keyboards, vocals, and other instruments with clarity and detail.
The unit features eight Focusrite Scarlett microphone preamps. These deliver clean, natural sound with low noise, minimal distortion, and plenty of headroom. As a result, every performance is captured with accuracy and professional-quality results.
High-quality Focusrite A-D conversion supports sample rates up to 192 kHz. This ensures detailed and reliable audio throughout the recording process. Two front-panel instrument inputs provide direct connection for guitars and basses. In addition, switchable pads on every channel help manage louder audio sources.
The Scarlett OctoPre includes ADAT outputs and eight balanced analogue line outputs. This allows audio signals to be sent to both a digital recording system and an analogue console at the same time. Word Clock I/O also provides reliable synchronisation with external digital equipment.
