The Band Scanner GPS is a compact, USB-powered tool designed for evaluating FM broadcast band congestion and logging station identification parameters. With a built-in GPS receiver, it offers Google Earth compatibility, allowing for easy visualization of collected FM radio data. The log file can be exported as a .kmz or other transitional format for future analysis.
Perfect for fieldwork, the pocket-sized device measures RF level, MPX deviation, left and right audio levels, RDS, and pilot injection levels. Its frequency range spans from 87 to 108 MHz. The included free Windows software scans the FM band, logging each carrier and generating a spectrum display of carrier level versus frequency, while also analysing and compiling a station list.
