The Band Scanner 2 is a groundbreaking device that enhances the capabilities of its renowned predecessor, offering the ultimate tool for assessing FM broadcast band congestion and logging station identification parameters. True to the legacy of the original Band Scanner, this advanced tool measures RF level, MPX deviation, Left & Right Audio Levels, RDS, and Pilot injection levels. During a survey, the measurements are stored in a log file, which can then be easily converted into KMZ format for visualisation in Google Earth.
Powered through the USB port of a Windows PC, the Band Scanner 2 hardware converts the raw FM signal into a digital format, which is then processed by the Band Scanner 2 Software. As with any software, the performance of the Band Scanner 2 Software depends on the computer running it. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a processor no lower than Intel Core i5-5200U @ 2.2GHz.
