IP audio has become the standard networking solution for the broadcast industry, and Wheatstone has been at the forefront of this evolution since 2000. As the pioneers of complete networking solutions in the IP audio world with our WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network, we offer superior solutions designed to meet every broadcaster’s current and future needs. Supporting AES67, our BLADE-3s are compatible with any AES67-enabled gear, ensuring seamless integration and making our equipment entirely format-agile. The IP-12 and IP-16 were developed to provide radio stations with an affordable entry point into the world of IP audio. These units have quickly become popular for installation in both production and broadcast studios. By moving the audio, logic, and interface functions into a single rack-mounted unit (the BLADE), we significantly enhance the flexibility, power, and future-proofing of these consoles. Utilising the power of WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network technology through the included IP88CB Console Audio BLADE, the IP-12 and IP-16 offer a compact, cost-effective solution for broadcasters. These consoles are ideal for those looking to start or expand their WheatNet-IP network. The IP-12/IP-16 feature either a 12- or 16-fader control surface that mimics the feel of a traditional console. Each input module is equipped with an LED source name display and an A/B source selector, which can be adjusted via a rotary encoder in the master section. Each input module also has access to four program buses, cue and talkback switches, a 100mm high-quality long-throw fader, and lighted channel ON/OFF switches. The master section provides controls for the control room, studio, and headphones, along with source selection. It includes an onboard amplifier, headphone jack, timer controls, a master talkback button, and a built-in cue speaker with level control. There are also four event switches and six programmable buttons for user-defined functions. The meter bridge features three stereo pairs of bright 30-segment horizontal LED bargraph meters and an onboard timer, with controls conveniently located in the master section.
