RF Works has successfully completed a power infrastructure upgrade for a small community radio station just south of Adelaide, choosing ABB UPS technology to ensure reliable and resilient operations. The project utilised an ABB PowerValue 11RT G2 2 kVA UPS, paired with two external battery modules and rack mounting kits, providing a significant improvement over the station’s previous setup.
Working within a very confined space, RF Works principal Chris Doe took a creative approach to the installation, assembling the rack outside the transmitter hut before carefully manoeuvring the bare rack through the doorway and loading the heavier equipment once it was in position.
Chris said the result was well worth the effort, noting the clear improvement in both reliability and overall setup. “Thanks Agile for timely delivery and support for our small community station just south of Adelaide.
