The DMX integrates seamlessly with WheatNet-IP, joining the WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network to provide access to BLADEs, consoles, software, appliances, processing, and a wide range of Wheatstone (and partner) equipment across the network. By utilising WheatNet-IP, the DMX can easily become part of an existing AoIP network or serve as the foundation for a new one. One of the standout features of the DMX is its built-in 5-port switch, which enables the creation of a smaller local network without the need for an external switch. This functionality offers speed and flexibility, making it ideal for smaller setups where you can add I/O and additional consoles as needed. It’s perfect for two- or three-studio facilities, where each studio operates independently as a standalone unit but is connected via an IP network. The DMX provides 1Gb connectivity through its internal switch, ensuring efficient routing of sources and destinations between studios and integrating easily into most existing radio automation systems. For those seeking expanded capabilities, the DMX gives full access to the entire WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network, offering even greater flexibility and options. The DMX control surface is a fully integrated, standalone console designed for both on-air and production use. Available in 8-fader (DMX-8) or 16-fader (DMX-16) configurations, it features four program buses, bus-minus on every fader, and multi-function knobs for adjusting pan, mode, dynamics, and input sources. Additionally, the console includes talkback and cue functions, EQ/dynamics control, monitoring for control room, studio, and headphones, LED metering, a built-in timer, and four-event recall.
