The IN-UNF is engineered to sit directly on your desk, with the desk itself becoming an integral part of the acoustic system. The sound path, from the drivers to the desk and to your ears, is optimised to ensure a crystal-clear and reliable representation of your mix, providing you with a sound that translates perfectly.
The IN-UNF is composed of three main components: a bass unit and two satellite speakers. The bass unit contains two high-excursion 4.5-inch woofers, along with the amplifier and all other necessary electronics. These woofers are arranged in a horizontally opposed configuration, minimising vibrations transferred to the desk or anything placed on the bass unit.
The satellite speakers are equipped with the same coaxial midrange and tweeter drivers as Kali’s renowned IN-5 and IN-8 studio monitors. The midrange/tweeter satellites are spherical in shape and rest on a silicone pad that allows for easy adjustment of their angle, ensuring precise targeting of the sound to your ears.
The bass unit also includes the system’s input options, featuring a USB-C input that supports 24-bit resolution and up to a 48kHz sample rate. This allows you to connect a variety of devices such as computers, laptops, tablets, phones, and other USB-compatible audio sources.
For iOS devices with a lightning connector, Apple’s Camera Adapter Kit is required (sold separately). Additionally, balanced TRS, 3.5mm, and optical inputs are available, offering versatile connectivity for pro audio equipment, consumer devices, gaming consoles, and televisions.
